The Method of SoL presents
The Living Room
at Skyview
Getting here may have required you to leave a great deal behind, take risks, adapt, and begin again. You deserve recognition.
The Living Room
The Living Room at Skyview is an in-person space in Chiang Mai for English-speaking people seeking more connection, support, purpose, and practical ways to live more intentionally.
You can come to listen, talk, learn practical tools, or simply spend time with others who are also trying to live more intentionally—in a comfortable living room where you might feel very much at home.
Come as you are. You don’t have to pretend to be someone else here. Self-acceptance, kindness, and respect for one another are part of what we hope to practice together.
You’ve learned how to survive change. Maybe now it’s time to discover how you want to live.
Come as you are—and see what your next step might be.
The Living Room as a Lifeboat
You may experience the Living Room as a sacred space—a place to slow down, listen inwardly, and allow something new to begin.
The seeds planted here may be small—a new idea, a moment of courage, a deeper connection, or a different way of seeing your life—but with care, support, and time, they may grow into possibilities you have not yet imagined.
Think of the Living Room as a lifeboat—a place where you come together with others and find the tools you need to help you move safely toward your destination, or at least toward your next step.
A Sacred Space
OUR GROUPS
Four ways to explore, share and grow
You can come to listen, talk, learn practical tools, or simply spend some time with other people who are also trying to live more intentionally.
The Living Toolbox
Drawing from both Eastern philosophy and Western psychology, the Living Toolbox offers practical ways to meet the experiences that make life difficult.
Explore how to regulate the nervous system, move through grief and loss, reframe anger and resentment, work toward forgiveness, adapt to change, and reduce unnecessary suffering.
Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
The Living Room Support Circle
A warm and welcoming space for support, speaking, listening, and empathic connection—a kind of lifeboat beneath an umbrella of safety.
You may share, simply listen, ask for suggestions, or ask only to be heard with compassion. We begin with a short relaxation and close with music.
No one is pressured to share, and everyone is encouraged to participate at the pace that feels right for them.
Ram Dass & Spirituality
An open exploration of spirituality through the teachings of Ram Dass and other spiritual teachers and traditions.
Together we explore connection, meaning, inner stillness, and our own relationship with what we may call Source.
Each gathering can move between discussion and experiential practice, shaped by the interests, comfort, and needs of the people who are there.
Deep Personal Growth & Empowerment
For people ready to go beyond simply talking about a problem and experience deeper personal work.
Depending on the group and the individual, this may include hypnotherapy, deeper guided visualization and imagery, Gestalt or chair work, body awareness, emotional expression, cathartic work, and other experiential approaches.
The presence and encouragement of the group can sometimes help us face things that have been difficult to face alone. Participation is always voluntary: you decide how deeply you take part and may step back or stop whenever you wish.

The Living Room
A Different Way of Contributing
There are no set fees for the Living Room. When someone receives something of value, a contribution is expected—but it doesn’t have to be financial.
Contributions can take the form of money, time, practical help, professional skills, creative or artistic work, technical help, gardening, repairs, translation, teaching, or another mutually agreed exchange.
The idea is reciprocity rather than measuring everything exactly: giving and receiving in a way that helps the Living Room continue.
